Depression can drain your energy, leaving you feeling empty and fatigued.
However, there are small steps you can take to help you feel more in control and
improve your overall mental health.
I have listed some of the things, which I did to overcome my anxiety & depression. I hope that you will also benefit from them & always remember you are never alone :)
so without any further a do here are the Top 10 things you should do -
1. Meet Yourself First
Depression is common. It affects millions of people, including some in our life. You may not realize they face similar challenges, emotions, and obstacles.Every day with this disorder is different. It is important to take your mental health seriously and accept that where you are right now is not where you will always be.
The first step to overcome depression is to be open, accepting, and loving towards yourself and what you are going through. Self-analysis is the best!
2. Today is not indicative of Tomorrow
Today’s mood, emotions, or thoughts do not belong to tomorrow. If you were unsuccessful at getting out of bed or accomplishing your goals today; remember that, you have not lost tomorrow’s opportunity to try again. Give yourself time without being guilty to accept that while some days will be difficult, some days will also be great. Try to look forward to tomorrow’s fresh start. 3. Do something you enjoy...

Do something you love — something that is relaxing, but energizing. It could be anything you enjoy & which makes you stress free… for instance painting, cooking, gardening, dancing, working out or just taking a walk.These activities can provide lifts in your mood and energy,
which may help you overcome your symptoms.
4. Write a Diary
Depression can be heavy with constant negative emotions. You may find yourself focusing on the one thing that went wrong instead of the many things that went right. Try to stop this. Push yourself towards recognizing the good that happened. If it helps, try to develop a habit of maintaining a Diary, write down all the good things that happened to you, what was the happy moment about that event or day. I am sure there would be a bunch of GOOD things you would write down thus bringing more good thoughts & positivity. Try it; you may think how this can help… but trust me it surely does. Thank me later.
5. Set your goals or maybe a To Do List

Do not try to make an overall to do list for the week/month or set goals for this year. Make it for a day... What I want to achieve today or in the coming 2 days. When you have done a small thing, set your eyes on another small thing, and then another. This way, you have a list of clear accomplishments and not an untouched to-do list.
